Our Story

Welcome to Gray's Wine Bar. Strange right, because we aren’t a wine bar… yet.

What we are is an amalgamation of things we find comforting, fun and interesting. From delicious coffee to tasty food, vintage clothing to handmade curios and art; it all finds a home here.

With our sights still firmly set on a wine bar, but licensing taking longer than we had hoped, the time has pushed us to find other things we find interesting, as well as take inspiration from places we enjoy, to create the cool mishmash of a space we currently are!

Community is a big focus of ours, and we are excited to continue finding our place within the part of Auckland we love.

Kia ora and welcome to Grays. You may have read above that the space isn't yet what we set out to create, but nonetheless it is a space we are incredibly proud of. Getting here hasn't been easy, it has evolved through the help of many! Thanks to our community, and our team.

Gray's Hounds

Yes, we are friendly to dogs! But not quite dog friendly. They can't come inside, but we've got a few spots to attach your dog outside. So come and perch at one of our outdoor tables with your pup pal, and we'll snap a pic for our special wall dedicated to our canine regulars. They might get a treat too!
